About Storm in a D Cup

Storm in a D Cup was created by Jenny Murphy in 2004, to fulfil a desperate gap in the swimwear market for fashion conscious women who are D cup and above.

While working as a swimwear buyer for Kings Road Sporting Club, swimwear designer Jenny Murphy came up with the brainwave of a dedicated, designer range for this market. “I had travelled extensively looking for a brand to supply this demand. Most of what was on offer was frumpy and unstylish. All my customers were asking why can't we have sexy, special bikinis. As a DD cup myself I also battled to find anything remotely glamorous, supportive or sexy. So as the old cliché goes I designed a range myself.”

Jennifer has had extensive swimwear experience. Before joining KRSC in 1997 as their swimwear buyer, she had worked in the swimwear industry in South Africa for eight years designing a successful children's swimwear range and working as a swimwear design consultant for major swim and surf labels. Jennifer also pioneered the first bespoke bikini service where customers can have a bikini made to measure and with their choice of fabrics.

Storm in a D Cup strives to bring glamourous, stylish swimwear with great support to the market. The range is designed to work as a swimwear wardrobe with all the plain colours incorporated in the prints enabling the customer to mix prints and plains.

Storm in a D Cup hopes to give bigger busted women choice in style and design which so long has been lacking in the cup size market. We aim to make swimwear shopping for this customer a delight instead of something to dread
